The Advanced Optical Sensors business provides market-leading sensor solutions that improve the human experience and well-being by sensing types of light both visible and invisible to the human eye. Key AOS applications include ambient light and proximity sensors; 1D Time-of-Flight, spectral sensors, bio sensors, as well as active noise cancelation (ANC).

  • Design, development and unit testing of software/firmware in embedded systems including interfaces for communicating with hardware
  • Interfacing with Machine Learning (ML) SW team
  • Integration of ML solutions for our products on various platforms (e.g. Intel, Qualcomm)
  • Develop code according to our standards and integrate with existing solutions
  • Be responsible for the software solution definition, architecture and design decisions
  • Be the source for customer facing technical documentation content
  • Up to 10% international travel (team is based in Austria, Germany, USA and China)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study
  • First experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
  • Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (e.g. ARM Cortex-M, RISC V)
  • Specific development knowledge with blocking/non-blocking execution, interrupt latency, interrupt priority, asynchronous execution flow etc.
  • Experience in C and Python
  • Basic know-how of GIT and SVN
  • Team player that thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Excellent English skills in writing and speaking
