About the roleExternal Communication Manager (f/m/d)Location:
Tyrol/Vienna, AustriaInternal role title: External Engagement Senior
Manager (m/f/d)In this role you’ll deliver the external Communications
and Engagement (C&E) strategy for Novartis in Austria and our key
therapy areas. You will be developing communications strategy and
content for multi-channel communications activities, delivering
meaningful patient activation and disease awareness as well as
communications strategy and content countrywide. Reporting to the Head
of C&E, you will be required to partner with the Management teams in
Tyrol and Vienna and relevant business franchises to achieve strategic
business objectives and priorities within Austria. In this role you
will be responsible for:• Managing a pro-active external
communications agenda to position Novartis as trusted partner,
innovation leader and great place to work in Tirol and Vienna. •
Developing and implementing a clear external communications strategy
and disease awareness communication strategy for Novartis in Austria.•
Executing programs and create content for all external communication
channels (e.g. drive social media, press releases, external meetings,
folders, Website, Content Strategy, Development and Management of the
Executive Voice, Change Management, Corporate Communications & issues
management, Communication Impact/Effectiveness Measurement, etc.) •
Building strong external relationships to local media (Tyrol and
Vienna) and act as point person for local inquiries.• Supporting key
leaders on communication topics and in their contact with media
(facilitating media trainings, ad-hoc briefings etc.)• Constantly
monitor, oversee and analyze the external environment to determine
company positioning, anticipate issues and identify opportunities.•
Handling professionally issue and crisis management (complaints,
investigative media, etc.)• Managing the implementation of
communication policies and processes to ensure consistency of our
brand position in external communicationsCommitment to Diversity &

communities we serve.Role RequirementsWhat you’ll bring to the role:•
University degree in communications, journalism or related fields•
Experience within Corporate communications (approx 5 years experience)
with skills and experience including: Channel utilization, Creative
writing for various channels, Storytelling, media relations, visual
communication, audience / stakeholder mapping and segmentation• Proven
track record and passion for communicating clear, concise and
compelling messages that drives engagement & behaviour• Excellent
relationship and influencing skills • Be a collaborative worker, being
able to work independently and through others to deliver outcomes with
a positive attitude and willingness/ability to find proactive,
compliant solutions to challenges• Strong project management and
organisational skills • Excellent oral and written German and English•
Experience in life sciences / health care industry is an advantageWhy

market-competitive base salary, we offer an attractive incentive

the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement.
For this position the minimum salary is 70.000/year (on a full time
basis). In most cases, the actual salary will be higher, as we strive
to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your
previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.
