Label Quality Engineer (m/f/d)

Department:With more than 400 years of experience in papermaking, Sappi Gratkorn develops and produces high-quality, multi-coated paper using the latest technologies.In this role you will be working in our Technology, Development and Quality Department and report directly to the Manager Quality Control PaperRole and responsibilitiesYou will contribute to the upscaling of Gratkorn label portfolio by execution and optimization of the label quality control processYou will independently support paper quality control to structurally solve quality related issues in label applications and graphics business You will be acting as a bridge between the label application engineer, product development and the paper production for quality and product improvement related topicsYou will coordinate and execute special internal and external quality lab tests for labelsYou will process and illustrate statistical data from a set of database and systemsYou will monitor the raw material change procedure for specialtiesYou will support Manager Product Development in specific label related topicsYou will take an active participation in continuous improvement activitiesYou will observe and comply with all personal and facility-related regulations regarding quality, health, security, safety and environmentRequired qualificationsYou have a print, paper-making or chemical related education / apprenticeship followed by a Bachelor or Master Degree in Paper, Packaging Technology or ChemistryYou have practical experience in label paper production, label paper conversion or label paper process- and quality management You have in depth wet glue and self-adhesive label paper know how throughout the full value chain (wet strength & non wet strength) You have demonstrated a good balance between conceptual skills & experience and “passion” for hands-on operational deliveryYou have strong analytical and proven problem-solving skillsYou adapt quickly, look for new challenges, and take the initiativeYou maintain excellent stakeholder and peer relationshipsYou have a knowledge of statistical analysing and reporting tools You have professional command in word and writing of German and EnglishGood to haveAbility to take an interdisciplinary approachTeamwork, communication- and co-operation skillsFlexibilityLocation:This job is located in Gratkorn.Traveling:  Occasionally, it is sometimes necessary to travel to the group's locations (Belgium, Germany, Netherland, Austria, South Africa, North America)What we offer:  An excellent opportunity to work, learn & grow with us.
