As a Product Owner(PO) you work in a cross-functional agile team on a scalable web or Windows application that helps many schools around the world to manage their school day. You put your expertise to work for a good cause that benefits millions of people in the education industry.You research and analyze the market and spend a lot of time with users, the support team, and our sales partners to develop a deep understanding of our customers' needs. You elaborate user stories, plan and prioritize the product backlog and define the product vision, roadmap and growth opportunities. You contribute to the company-wide vision and guide new features from ideation to release and documentation. You track our competitors and the industry. You also develop new ideas to shape the future of digitization in schools, but also engage with existing features and find solutions to modernize them. You keep up to date with Agile and Scrum best practices and new trends. You learn together with your team and within your community of practice.

We practice an open communication, are proud of our products, but also do not hide our current weak points:

• We have a 10+ year old web application and a 35+ year old Windows application, and you will have to manage some remaining legacy issues. A focus is currently on reducing technical debt and accelerating our development, while maintaining quality.
• We are also developing one of the most successful native mobile applications for iOS and Android, in the school organization sector.
• We have ambitious goals and need your help to achieve them together as a team. In some areas of cooperation, be it communication, processes or structures, we have not yet reached the level where we would like to be, but we are already on a very good path.

• First and foremost, we are looking for smart people who enjoy their work and are a pleasure to work with.
• Professional experience in a product development environment including designing and developing technical solutions in agile projects.
• You have a passion for education and helping schools go digital
• You are very good at prioritizing and are familiar with processes/tools that facilitate this
• In-depth knowledge of agile processes and principles
• Holistic view of the product and the marketplace
• You can communicate complex topics in the right words for different audiences
• You like to find simple UX solutions for difficult problems
• Very good verbaland written communication in German (fluent) and English.
  
• Good problem solving skills and attention to detail

Interested? Great. For this position we offer a market-oriented salary range between 45,000 Euro and 80,000 Euro gross per year (38.5h/week and no all-in) in our team. Depending on your qualifications and professional experience, you will decide on your salary together with the team.
