Focus application of role: Traction Inverter, Focus product: HV Chips (SiC, IGBT)

1. Identify application trends and future requirements from customer discussions and internal system experts. You will drive assessment of different approaches/innovation for new product ideas and by that influence our product roadmaps directly
2. Be part of product development projects for chip products: Responsible for defining the right-fit product requirements, derive the target datasheet and be the internal technical interface to the product development teams R&D and customers in creation phase
3. Develop and coordinate projects in the area of performance benchmarking of our products performance in application context system
4. Drive activities from design-in to design-win towards our success in high voltage discrete products
5. Drive as technical customer interface during product development accompanying technical coordination with our lead customers, fine-tune and agree on clarify requirements and support successful product-validation in the customer system design
6. Validate functional prototypes and simulation models of our products at customer sites
7. Closely collaborate with our regional field application AE/FAE engineering teams
8. Technically lead a team of technical experts

You are best equipped for those tasks if you have:

• A degree in electrical engineering, power electronics, physics or a related field
• At least 6 years of professional experience in power electronics (automotive, industrial, consumer) in the semiconductor industry, at a research institute or as a hardware designer for power systems (in Application Engineering, System Engineering, Technical Marketing)
• Experience in setting up and running tests for power components
• Experience in technical leadership
• Competence on power technologies such as SiC MOSFETs
• Know-how in the creation of collaterals technical articles, presentations containing complex technical content and addressing solutions to solving complex technical problems
• Practical experience in working as a project member in a matrix organization
• Very good communication and presentation skills in English
