If so, SKF invites you to become a part of our dynamic world!For the Product Development ACBB, ThBB, Hybrid, MSP team in Steyr we are now looking for a passionateProduct Development Engineer (m/f/d)As a key member of our Product Development team, you’ll collaborate with a driven and agile group, interfacing with SKF’s global factories, Sales & Application Engineering, Research and Technology Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing departments. Your role will be pivotal in steering the engineering efforts for ACBB, ThBB, Hybrid, MSP products, ensuring synergy with stakeholders throughout SKF’s comprehensive network, and significantly contributing to the success and expansion of our product lines.Key responsibilities: Manage product portfolio by defining the product & technology roadmap, and tailoring application-specific offerings in sync with product line and sales teamsLead engineering projects aligned with our strategic vision, enhancing current bearing designs, and innovating design variationsEnsure precision in technical product data within databases and manufacturing workflowsDevelop, codify, and uphold technical specifications/drawings and design rulesMaintain SKF’s industry leadership by initiating and supporting technology development in partnership with Research Technology & Development and conducting strategic competitor analysisChampion cost-efficiency initiatives in collaboration with factory and product line strategiesProtect SKF’s Intellectual Assets and Intellectual Property through diligent product patent portfolio managementYour profile:A holder of a university degree in mechanical engineering or product developmentProficient in machine element/rolling bearing design, kinematics, and technical drawing conventionsA well-organized, self-driven individual with a strong commitment to excellenceA proactive, open-minded collaborator who can drive change and inspire othersAn effective communicator with excellent facilitation skills, fluent in English and German, capable of leading in a diverse international settingExperience with ceramics and ceramic bearings is a valuable assetFamiliarity with Office 365, Windchill, CREO Parametric, ANSYS is advantageousAt SKF, we’re dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment, convinced that diversity is key to our ongoing success.
