Trial Learning and Development (CTL&D) organization develops and
delivers training strategy and design for Johnson & Johnson and
investigational site staff participating in clinical trials. This
includes determining training needs, developing and implementing
strategic learning initiatives, and using resources to deploy plans.
The team aims to reduce the time it takes to initiate a study, enhance
the effectiveness of learning for conducting clinical trial
activities, and ultimately improve the satisfaction of site staff. The
CTL&D organization plays a critical role to being the partner of
choice and ensures optimal site experience. The Scientific Learning &
Training, Senior Analyst will contribute by working across multiple
therapeutic areas for select programs and studies to assess learning
needs including protocol specific risks and complexities, in
partnership with the assigned CTL&D team. This role will lead, build,
& co-create medical communications and scientific content for internal
and external audiences in support of the Clinical Trials conducted by
Johnson & Johnson. Portfolio assets and deliverables may include
training presentations, print materials and infographics, interactive
e-Learning modules, site engagement tactics, workshop design and
development, video, and podcasts. The individual will work
collaboratively with various roles within the Therapeutic Areas,
vendors, Learning & Instructional Design peers, along with other
members of CTL&D and may be asked to contribute to other initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:Consult study team and therapeutic area partners
to discuss scientific concepts, relevant protocol insights, and
co-create medical communications /educational material based on needs.
Design and write educational materials targeted at internal sponsor
staff as well as investigative site staff with an iterative process in
partnership with Research & Development clinical team.Co-develop
protocol training and investigational product assets with an
understanding of design/development techniques and foundational
principles of adult learning theory in partnership with the Learning &
Instructional Design Manager.Identify, oversee and partner with
external vendors and developers when needed. Provide consultative
guidance, feedback, and support to Subject Matter Experts (SME)
through the content development process including analysis,
development, implementation, and evaluation to produce high-quality
training materials.Support CTL&D representatives to develop high
quality solutions that can be applied with scale and to a wide
audience.Review and revise materials ensuring that they are accurate,
engaging, and adhere to partners and Johnson & Johnson's medical,
legal, and regulatory standards.Maintain stylistic consistency,
enhance readability, and ensure copy meets branding and referencing
requirements.Manage multiple learning projects and potential to manage
internal or external professionals required to design and deliver
solutions.Expand knowledge of required tools and techniques through
independent study, on-the-job training and formal training. Maintain
knowledge of industry trends, advancements, and innovative Automation
Intelligence technologies. Coach and mentor peers within the CTL&D
organization in scientific learning and medical
communications/education area of expertise. Foster a culture of
continuous learning and development.QualificationsEducation:BA/BS
degree (required) preferably in Instructional Design, Training,
Instructional Technology, or Education. MA/MS degree or advanced
degree in Instructional Design or a related field of study is
preferred. Experience and Skills:Required: A minimum of 6 years of
relevant pharmaceutical/scientific/research and development experience
is required.At least 4 years of relevant medical writing experience is
required. Ability to recognize how to best interpret, summarize, and
present statistical and medical information to ensure quality and
accuracy of content in complex document types under general
supervision is required. Strong attention to detail is required.
Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Solid
leadership skills in time and project/process management. Able to
resolve complex problems under supervision is required.Ability to
demonstrate learning agility is required.Able to build solid and
positive relationships with cross‐functional team members is required.
Excellent leadership, collaboration, organizational, and interpersonal
skills are required.Effective consulting and influencing skills, a
track record of developing solid relationships with internal clients,
problem solving skills, and strong project management and vendor
management skills with the ability to manage multiple competing
priorities is required.Must be proactive, and willing to challenge the
status quo. Ability to manage change positively and see change as an
opportunity to improve processes and tools is required.Pharmaceutical
industry or medical experience is required. Preferred:Experience with
multiple therapeutic areas is preferred. Basic understanding of
instructional design theories and adult learning principles in the
design and development of blended learning approaches and solutions is
preferred.Other:Demonstrate a strong track record of leading by

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $104,000 to
$166,750. The compensation and benefits information set forth in this
posting applies to candidates hired in the United States. Candidates
hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and
benefits in accordance with their local market. The Company maintains
highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under
current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual
performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an
incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for
individual and the corporation’s performance over a
calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s
discretion on an individual basis.Employees and/or eligible dependents
may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored

including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year.Work,
