About the team:
 

Our Forensic Services professionals help mitigate and resolve high-risk matters involving investigations, forensic technology, analytics and forensic accounting, and help clients create and embed governance frameworks to retain value. 

We provide an integrated suite of services including: investigation services, litigation and dispute resolution, fraud and corruption risk management, forensic technology services and whistleblowing services.


The Opportunity 
 

BDO WA have a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic Senior Analyst to join the team. In this role you will contribute by actively being involved in the delivery of investigations, supporting junior team members and providing advice and guidance on better practice for investigative processes. 

Some of your key responsibilities include:  

  • Assisting clients by managing and leading multiple engagements simultaneously including requesting and evaluating financial information from source documents.
  • Liaising with clients to obtain information and any matters relating to the engagement. 
  • Assisting with quantification of loss, litigation support, family law and asset tracing matters. 
  • Preparing high quality independent reports which are clear, concise and easily understood by clients. 
  • Mentoring junior staff through training, managing their workload, reviewing their completed work and providing feedback. 
  • High level research, problem solving and analytical skills to collect, collate and report forensic and technical evidence for presentation to stakeholders, industrial tribunals and the Courts. 
  • Building strong relationships with clients through exceptional and timely client service and ongoing communication throughout the investigation. 

What you will need to succeed  

  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar role and/or within accounting.
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification. 
  • CA/CPA qualification (or working towards) 
  • Ability to use initiative with a strong desire to grow and develop within the role. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate with stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Competent in the use of MS Word and Excel. 
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle and analyse complex information (financial /accounting insight is favourable).
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and building client trust when managing sensitive matters.
