Senior Expert Primary Packaging Engineer (m/w/d)

As TECCON Austria, we have specialized in the areas of automotive passive safety and consulting services. We work closely with well-known OEMs to develop innovative solutions and improve vehicle safety. We also offer consulting services in the areas of rail, automotive, pharmaceuticals, IT and plant engineering. Founded in 1998 as Concept Tech GmbH in Gratkorn, we are now an important part of the Hamburg TECCON Group and develop solutions for the future together with more than 450 engineers, technicians and IT experts. For this purpose, the group has eight competence units that maintain a lively exchange and also form interdisciplinary project teams in order to achieve optimal results.

• Lead and manage technical activities and apply expertise to address complex design, development and operational issues for the preparation and timely delivery of parenteral or ophthalmic primary packaging / combination products, processes and procedures
• Lead and manage packaging development activities and actively participate in device and packaging development project teams as packaging technology representative
• Apply knowledge in the areas of materials (glass, polymers, rubbers, silicone/lubricants, sterile barrier systems, adhesives) and manufacturing (injection molding, glass converting, rubber molding, assembly, fill & finish and transport validation)
• Communicate, address and solve problems (e.g. deviations and unexpected results from experiments) within own and broader area of responsibility; communicate effectively across organizational interfaces; contribute to the transfer of know-how or procedures to other departments or external contractors, including troubleshooting and on-site training
• Lead change process and lifecycle tasks for packaging systems, medical devices used in development and commercial

• Bachelor’s, Master or PhD degree in engineering or material science or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years of experience working in the field of primary packaging / medical device and combination product; preferred in pharmaceutical area or similar
• Leading and influencing in global matrix organization; strong communication / negotiation skills & listener, actively reaching out, able to understand and connect across functions
• Mentors and inspires others to solve technical issues / problems
• Leads / co‐leads novel projects within the team
• Excellent skills in English, verbal and written. Other language skills, e.g. German are of advantage

The gross annual salary is at least EUR 63.000€ but of course we offer overpayment in line with the market, depending on qualifications and professional experience.
