It is a vendor provided solution, part of the Nasdaq FinTech Solutions portfolio. In close cooperation with the vendor, our team of JAVA developers maintains and evolves the solution in terms of bug fixing, continuous performance enhancements and new functionalities.What to do:Work closely with business to create solutions for new requirements in a complex, distributed applicationSupport the Business Analysts when investigating Production issues and document your findingsHelp to expand the automated tests to find any regressions in the upgrade processParticipate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on solution design, clean coding and unit testingLiaise with other developers, solution manager, analyst and architect to identify new features and solutions to meet business needsFollow Agile principles like Scrum or KanbanInvestigate issues and find solutions or adjust the code to match the expected behaviorWork or enhance our tech stack which is currently: Java, Tibco rendezvous, JUnit 5, Spring Boot, Oracle DB and the Atlassian StackYou check these boxes:Core skills:Excellent Java skills (back-end and fat client)Reading, understanding and debugging existing codeJava performance tuning and multithreadingJAVA frameworks: mainly spring boot but experience with JBoss and J2EE are a plusAdditional skills:Linux operating system integrationSQL knowledge (Oracle, SQL database integration)xml, xslt standardsExperience with following tools is a plus:GradleGitJenkinsWhy you will like us:Possibility to benefit and learn from our international, talented and passionate community at ErsteGreat learning curve through ownership and creative freedomInterest groups and clubs: Take part in discussions and get involved in projects.
