Join the automation team at B&R- a member of the ABB Group.We are looking for an experienced Strategic Buyer to join our team and ensure cost optimization in the Global Sourcing - Electronics department. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for all strategic agendas in the Electronic Components product category. Your main tasks will include the strategic development of these product groups as well as the re-evaluation and further development of the supplier portfolio. You will be responsible for driving forward cost-saving and development projects.Your responsibilitiesEnsuring cost optimization for the main product groups/categories for which you are responsible (e.g. taking into account total costs of ownership, turnover rates, delivery performance)Carrying out professional supplier management (search, selection, classification, further development, implementation and risk assessment)Proactive market observation and analysis as well as escalation managementInterface with R&D and the procurement market to evaluate new technologies and productsLeading complex contract negotiations and professional contract managementRisk and strategy management for the main product groups/categories for which you are responsibleData analysis, controlling and reportingStrategic cooperation with global ABB category teams for electronic componentYour backgroundCompleted commercial and technical training (e.g. industrial engineering)Several years of relevant professional experience in international purchasingMarket knowledge and experience in the field of electronic components (semiconductors, embedded products etc.) desirableConfident handling of MS Office applications, experience with SAP module MM an advantageVery good knowledge of German and EnglishDiplomatic and assertive personality with strong negotiating skillsEnjoy a varied job with a high degree of personal responsibility and hands-on mentalityMore about usAt B&R – a member of the ABB Group, you can expect an exciting and challenging job with an individually tailored introductory training.
