A leading company in the field of sports betting is currently building a central data science team in Vienna. For this exciting development, a dedicated Big Data Administrator is being sought who wants to help shape modern technologies in a dynamic environment.
Your responsibilities:- Administration, monitoring, and optimization of the Big Data environment based on Apache Hadoop in the AWS Cloud
- Management and maintenance of services like Kafka, Flink, NiFi, DynamoDB , and Iceberg Tables
- Deployment using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Planning and execution of updates and upgrades
- Consulting Data Engineers and Data Scientists in selecting suitable Hadoop services for business use cases
- 3rd-level support through error analysis and troubleshooting
- Support in workload optimization , e.g., through query tuning
- Evaluation and implementation of cloud-native services
- Completed technical education (e.g., degree in computer science or equivalent qualification)
- Experience in system administration of Linux systems (especially RedHat)

**Responsibilities**

+ Provide delivery oversight and escalation support for key Factory engagements across Data & Analytics workloads.
+ Drive technical excellence by leading the health, resiliency, security, and optimization of mission-critical data workloads, ensuring readiness for production-scale AI use cases.
+ Identify and resolve technical blockers, share customer feedback with engineering teams, and influence product improvements through Voice of the Customer insights.
+ Maintain deep technical expertise and stay current with market trends, competitive insights, and Microsoft's evolving data and AI capabilities.
+ Be accredited and certified to deliver with advanced and expert-level proficiency in priority workloads including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Purview, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Cosmos DB.
