Location: Austria (Remote)
Team: Engineering

SluiceboxAI is building scalable, automation-driven sustainability intelligence for manufacturers. Our platform helps companies navigate compliance, reduce emissions, and drive transparency with automated Life Cycle Assessments (LCA). We’re a fast-moving startup where engineers play a central role in defining solutions, not just building features.
The Role
We’re looking for a strong back-end engineer who can work across the stack to build scalable, high-impact features. The ideal candidate is not just technical but has a product mindset, curiosity, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. This is an opportunity to own solutions end-to-end, collaborate with product and customers, and help shape how we solve complex industry problems.
What You’ll Do
- Own and build scalable back-end solutions (APIs, databases, automation pipelines).
- Work across the stack—primarily back-end, but capable of delivering front-end features.
- Figure out solutions independently.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and customers to deeply understand pain points.
- Design and implement test automation, scalability solutions, and complex data systems.
If interested, grow into AI/ML integration, but this is not required.

Why Join Us?
- Be a builder. Work directly with leadership to define solutions, not just implement them .
- End-to-end ownership. Build impactful solutions that directly help customers.
- Fast-moving, no red tape. Your work matters, and we move quickly.
- Future growth. Potential to lead and shape our tech as we scale.

If you thrive in startup environments, love solving hard problems, and want to help build something meaningful , we’d love to hear from you!

The position is remote; however, candidates need to be based in Austria. We may consider relocation for EU Citizens with a right to work in Austria.
