The Software Test Engineer is responsible for the systematic identification, creation, evaluation and execution of software product tests in an agile software development team. This includes the creation, maintenance and execution of manual as well as automated test cases.

This position reports to the Director R&D and is part of the R&D department located in our Salzburg office and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Test software and software control of scientific instruments for high performance in an Agile-based software development team.

  • Contribute to the usability of software for scientific instrumentation products.

  • Perform failure, impact and prevention analysis.

  • Design and execute automated and manual test plans and cases and generate test evidence.

  • Assist in the design of new applications and methodologies in conjunction with colleagues and customers.

  • Present verification results and write verification reports.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 3+ years in software testing/development or quality assurance.

  • Advanced level of knowledge and expertise with Microsoft Windows.

  • Demonstrated ability to use various software test methodologies and techniques.

  • Understanding of underlying concepts related to planning and executing test cases, strategy and software development workflow.

  • Knowledge of a test management tool (Microsoft Test Manager, Zephyr, TestRail or similar) for manual testing and experience with a framework for automated end-to-end testing (e.g. Selenium, Playwright or Cypress).

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Working in an agile software development team.

  • Understanding how software is used in scientific instruments.

The collective agreement for employees in the electrical and electronics industry applies to the advertised position, the minimum basic salary is € 4341,85,-- gross per month with willingness to overpay collective agreement. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

Do you want to work in our Salzburg Operations Team? Do you enjoy producing high quality instruments for the life science sector?
We are currently seeking an Instrument Technician (m/w/d) who will be responsible for assembling, commissioning and testing instruments according to the production schedule in an efficient timely manner, sharing knowledge and work with others in your team in order to reduce the production lead-time.
What we'll get you doing:
+ Ensuring instruments are built to the highest quality and latest standards of engineering drawings, assembly documentation and software release revisions
+ Ensure instruments are in a suitable state to the pre-shipment QC check
+ Advise appropriately as to stock control/requirements
+ Log all faults for future tracking and recommend changes to ease assembly or enhance design
+ Focus on issues that affect you and deal with them in a constructive manner and when falling below expectations bring them to the attention of your line manager
+ Maintain highest levels of housekeeping within your working area
+ All other responsibilities and/or other related duties as assigned
The essential requirements of the role include:
+ Basic level of education in electrical/electronics/mechatronics/optics (HTL, apprenticeship, vocational training)
+ First experience of assembly and/or testing of related products (e.g. medical devices)
+ Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 10kg
+ Good knowledge of German and English
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Troubleshooting of related products (e.g. medical devices)
+ Experience of working in an international environment (Europe and US)
+ Good working knowledge of General administration tools (i.e. MS Office)
To comply with legal requirements, we refer to the minimum salary as stipulated in the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry, which is 3,484.62 gross per month. A willingness to pay above this amount exists, depending on qualifications and experience.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

Unser Klient, ein global agierendes Luftfahrtunternehmen, sucht einen hochqualifizierten Luftfahrtingenieur (m/w/d) mit Spezialisierung auf Triebwerksentwicklung für seinen Standort in Hallein, Salzburg . Sie werden Teil eines innovativen Teams, das an der Entwicklung und Verbesserung von Flugzeugtriebwerken der nächsten Generation arbeitet. Ihre Expertise ist entscheidend für die Leistung, Effizienz und Sicherheit unserer Produkte.

Zu Ihren Kernaufgaben gehört die Mitarbeit an der Konzeption, Konstruktion und Analyse von Triebwerkskomponenten und -systemen. Sie führen detaillierte Berechnungen und Simulationen durch, um die Leistungsfähigkeit zu optimieren und potenzielle Probleme frühzeitig zu erkennen. Die enge Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen Entwicklungspartnern, die Koordination von Tests und die Dokumentation der Ergebnisse sind ebenfalls wichtige Bestandteile Ihrer Tätigkeit. Sie werden sich mit aerodynamischen, thermischen und mechanischen Aspekten von Turbinentriebwerken auseinandersetzen.

Wir erwarten von Ihnen ein abgeschlossenes Masterstudium oder eine Promotion in Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Maschinenbau oder einer verwandten Disziplin. Mindestens 3 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Triebwerksentwicklung oder einem verwandten Bereich der Luftfahrtindustrie sind zwingend erforderlich. Sie verfügen über fundierte Kenntnisse der Strömungsmechanik, Thermodynamik und Materialwissenschaften. Erfahrung mit CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) und FEA (Finite Element Analysis) Softwarepaketen (z.B. ANSYS, Star-CCM+) ist unerlässlich. Hervorragende analytische Fähigkeiten, eine systematische Herangehensweise und die Fähigkeit, komplexe technische Probleme zu lösen, zeichnen Sie aus.
