The Software Test Engineer is responsible for the systematic identification, creation, evaluation and execution of software product tests in an agile software development team. This includes the creation, maintenance and execution of manual as well as automated test cases.
This position reports to the Director R&D and is part of the R&D department located in our Salzburg office and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Test software and software control of scientific instruments for high performance in an Agile-based software development team.
Contribute to the usability of software for scientific instrumentation products.
Perform failure, impact and prevention analysis.
Design and execute automated and manual test plans and cases and generate test evidence.
Assist in the design of new applications and methodologies in conjunction with colleagues and customers.
Present verification results and write verification reports.
The essential requirements of the job include:
3+ years in software testing/development or quality assurance.
Advanced level of knowledge and expertise with Microsoft Windows.
Demonstrated ability to use various software test methodologies and techniques.
Understanding of underlying concepts related to planning and executing test cases, strategy and software development workflow.
Knowledge of a test management tool (Microsoft Test Manager, Zephyr, TestRail or similar) for manual testing and experience with a framework for automated end-to-end testing (e.g. Selenium, Playwright or Cypress).
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

We are currently seeking an Instrument Technician (m/w/d) who will be responsible for assembling, commissioning and testing instruments according to the production schedule in an efficient timely manner, sharing knowledge and work with others in your team in order to reduce the production lead-time.
What we'll get you doing:
+ Ensuring instruments are built to the highest quality and latest standards of engineering drawings, assembly documentation and software release revisions
+ Ensure instruments are in a suitable state to the pre-shipment QC check
+ Advise appropriately as to stock control/requirements
+ Log all faults for future tracking and recommend changes to ease assembly or enhance design
+ Focus on issues that affect you and deal with them in a constructive manner and when falling below expectations bring them to the attention of your line manager
+ Maintain highest levels of housekeeping within your working area
+ All other responsibilities and/or other related duties as assigned
The essential requirements of the role include:
+ Basic level of education in electrical/electronics/mechatronics/optics (HTL, apprenticeship, vocational training)
+ First experience of assembly and/or testing of related products (e.g. medical devices)
+ Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 10kg
+ Good knowledge of German and English
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
